The Big Bang Theory ran for 12 years, so it was without a doubt going to earn its place amongst Pop collections eventually. And they are awesome!
The Big Bang Theory Funko Pop guide below is twofold – the first set of Pops are readily available, whereas the following set are all vaulted.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and just say it – the latest Big Bang Theory Pops are so much better than the vaulted versions. The details are great and the head sculpts look so much better. Plus they are all readily available and make great gifts for Big Bang fans!
Bernadette Rostenkowski Funko Pop
“Come on, do you want to sit here being a loser, or do you want to watch me climb into an Australian man’s G-string like a baby kangaroo.”
She may look cute here in Pop form, but we all know that Bernadette can be a feisty, mean little lady!
This Big Bang Theory Pop (#783) has Berni wearing her classic Cheesecake Factory outfit. Though not the most exciting Pop in the list, she is instantly recognisable. The head sculpt has the hair perfect wearing her signature red glasses. The detail on the blouse and top is really good too.
Very cute. Hopefully Funko will release one where she is mad with Howie!

Stuart Bloom Funko Pop
“That could have killed me… Can’t catch a break.”
I love that they released a Stuart Pop (#782) as he deserves one – he is the only character in addition to the main 4 that has been in the show since season 1.
The Pop is based on when he is doing his stock checks at his comic book store. Dressed in a cardigan and ugly shirt and armed with a clipboard, this is probably as exciting as Stuart gets. Similar to Bernadette, it’s the hair that makes him recognisable.

Raj Koothrappali Funko Pop
“Cute is for bunnies. I want to be something with sex appeal. Like a labradoodle.”
Whether this Raj Pop (#781) is based on before or after he was able to speak to women without the need for alcohol, in this figure he comes ready with an Appletini.
The Pop captures the astrophysicist really well, with his thick black hair, horrible sweater vest and loud shirt looking wonderfully detailed. Despite the vaulted Raj Pop below being more expensive and rare, this is Big Bang Theory Pop is the best version of him ever released.

Penny Funko Pop
“Queen Penelope AFK”
This is possibly the best choice made for a Penny Funko Pop (#780)!
Based on the episode when Penny gets addicted to a World of Warcraft style video game, her typical glamorous sense of style and values get thrown out of the window – and this Big Bang Theory Pop nails it.
The whole sculpt is excellent. Wearing her gamer headset, her unkept appearance has tired eyes, no makeup and dishevelled hair with a cheeto stuck in it – which is a wonderful nod to the episode. Her outfit has her in dirty loungewear, with a grubby t-shirt with food down the front, baggy shorts and hoody with feet warmers. Holding her pink laptop, she is waiting for either help for a quest or probably the wifi password from Sheldon.
Easily my favourite Big Bang Pop in the list.

Amy Farrah Fowler Funko Pop
“It’s a tiara!!!”
When Sheldon goes to buy Amy some jewellery due to an argument, he returns with an odd choice – a tiara! Needless to say, Amy loved it and this Big Bang Theory Pop captures the moment perfectly.
The main attraction here is the head sculpt – Amy is instantly recognisable with her hair and glasses alone, but it is of course the tiara that steals the show. painted in metallic silver and glistening with jewels, Sheldon’s gift looks great on the Neurobiologist.
Her outfit is pretty drab and uninspiring – so typical Amy! Buttoned up shirt, stripy blouse and other shades of brown dominate the body on this happy lady!

Leonard Hoffstadter In Robe Funko Pop
“Our babies will be smart and beautiful.”
The best Leonard Pop (#778) in my opinion – though he isn’t wearing his typical hoodie and jacket combo, its again the head sculpt which is most impressive here. The messy bed-head look is bang on with the episode this is taken from, where Leonard has to literally write a sign to signal when people are using sarcasm to Sheldon.
His dressing gown has some nice pattern decals and the sarcasm sign has the same handwriting from the show – so nice attention to detail here.

Howard Wolowitz In Spacesuit Funko Pop
“I really miss gravity. Can you drop something so I can watch it fall?”
This is brilliant and I’m so glad Funko went with the Spacesuit option, with the detail on this Big Bang Theory Funko Pop (#777) looking just right.
Though simple, the head sculpt captures the Beatle haircut of the wannabe ladies man perfectly. Howard’s cosmonaut suit on the other hand is where the detail is at, with the contouring of the white jumpsuit nicely done with the folds of the material. The white is broken up by the blue decals and various tubes, with some awesome attention to detail with ‘H Wolowitz’ printed on the chest (in Russian too!).
This Rocketman is one of the best Big Bang Pops here!

Sheldon Cooper Funko Pop
“I’m not crazy; my mother had me tested.”
Finally, we get to the Sheldon Pop (#776).
Though perhaps not the most exciting costume, it’s definitely Sheldon with that anorak and the head sculpt like the others above is spot on. The quirky theoretical physicist is in the middle of explaining his game; Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock!
There’s a great video below with more detail on this amazing wave of Big Bang Theory Pops – be sure to check it out.

Everything below is now vaulted…
That’s right – all the Big Bang Theory Pops above are all readily available, however from this point in the list everything you see is no longer sold in stores. If you want one of the Pops below, you’ll need to be shopping on eBay or traders. Good luck!
Star Trek Big Bang Theory Funko Pops
I’ve grouped these Big Bang Theory Pops together as they are pretty much the same in terms of design, with of course the main differences of the SDCC exclusives.
Good luck trying to get hold of the ‘beam me up’ versions, they are very rare. Overall these Pops are valued between $45-65 each, with the exception of Sheldon.
The SDCC Sheldon Pop is the most expensive in this Star Trek themed group, being valued at $150. Wearing science officer blue and posing with the Vulcan hand gesture, he is the only Pop who is positioned differently to the others, with the exception of the uniform colours between Leonard and the other two.
Howard Wolowitz Funko Pop
Though not as awesome as the latest sculpts, this is definitely Howard with that dress sense!
This Big Bang Theory Pop is valued at $42.
Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz Funko Pop
Another cute little Berni Pop, this is valued at $60 if you can find one…
Raj Koothrappali Funko Pop
Raj wearing his awful anorak is worth $50 if you want him!
Leonard Hofstadter Funko Pop
Little homunculus Leonard looking very season 1 in this shy pose, he goes for around $55.
Amy Farrah Fowler Funko Pop
The Amy Farrah Fowler Pop above goes for around $75 – it was an SDCC 2013 exclusive, with only 1008 ever made. The one below was exclusive to JMD and is valued at $37.
Sheldon Cooper Funko Pop
As you probably guessed, Sheldon (#011) was the first Big Bang Theory Funko Pop released in 2012 and had multiple exclusive variants released (below). He is also the most expensive Pop in this list.
Whereas his standard Pop is valued at around $40, it’s his variants which are priced above the rest. Two of the SDCC’s are valued at $90, the SDCC Superman shirt is $120 and the Astro-Zombies exclusive is worth a whopping $250!
That’s it for the list. There are some great options here and though the classic superhero shirt Sheldons are great, the overall designs are pretty basic compared to the 2019 releases – which are stunning and readily available.
